GESTURES

Simply rotate, stop, cut open and label the components of the heart, all with simple strokes of the cursor.

3-DIMENSIONAL

Rotate — by dragging cursor;

Spin — by swiping cursor;

Cut — by a long swipe (a long swipe is a swipe that starts outside the heart — i.e the background — located on the sides and top of the heart);

Zoom — by double clicking on the mouse.

Pins are available in any of the standard anatomical views including anterior, posterior, lateral, right lateral, superior, inferior, sagittal, coronal and transverse views.

INDEX

By pressing the index button, the available pins and animations are shown. If an item is selected from the index, the heart will be rotated, cut or made transparent in order to show the user where that item is located.

When a movie is selected, the heart will be rotated or cut and the relevant animation will be played.

SECTIONED VIEWS

Coronal, Sagittal and Transverse sections are also available with full labeling. These cuts can be shown by performing a long swipe (a swipe that begins outside the heart) or by pressing the sections button.

TRANSPARENT LAYERS

The Heart Pro is comprised of four different layers, the heart tissue, veins, arteries and conduction nerves. The transparency of the heart tissue, vessels and nerves can be changed to view their interdependency.

ANIMATIONS

The Heart Pro contains several animations. By clicking on the movie icon an animation for that view will be played.

The Heart Pro also has built-in tutorial/help videos. Simply press on the help button — choose a topic — and watch an easy to understand tutorial.

QUIZ

The user can test their knowledge with an interactive quiz. The app rotates the heart and randomly, selects a pin — and then requests identification of this selected pin from six possible multi-choice answers.

The Heart Pro is aimed at students with a basic to advanced level of anatomical medical knowledge as well as medical professionals (users can customize the app by choosing the pins/labels that are applicable to their course or standard).

3-DIMENSIONAL

The Brain can be rotated by dragging the cursor across the screen or spun with a swipe. The user can also zoom in or out by ‘double clicking’ on the mouse. Rather than just the standard anatomical views, you can now observe the location of a Brain component from different angles.

PINS

The standard anatomical views are also offered as reference points. Each view can be labelled and each label has a description.

INDEX

By pressing the index button the user is offered an index of the pins available. If a pin name is selected the app will take the user to that pin and label it.

SECTIONED VIEWS

Transverse, Coronal and Sagittal cross sections are also available again with full labeling.

INTEGRATED LAYERS

The Brain model is comprised of eight different layers, from the Dura Mater down to the Thalamus. By pressing and holding on the Systems icon the user is offered an options window where the opacity of each layer can be controlled. This can offer the user different comparative or phantom views, for example – the position of the Ventricles within the Cerebrum.

SETTINGS

The reference app can be further customized by using the settings button to turn on and off individual pins. This feature is as a direct result of user feedback.

QUIZ

The user can test their knowledge against this interactive quiz. This is a dynamic quiz in that there are not a set list of questions but rather the app randomly selects labelled areas within the app and automatically produces a multi-choice question based around that label.

We created an app that allowed users to create their own Avatar! By taking a photo of your head you were a few steps from becoming a bubbly blue cartoon. In a matter of minutes you can be an Avatar.

This app used our own technology that we developed to make it simple to recognise your face, then to fix the points of interest that you would like to keep. Allowing for the rest of the face to change. This technology can be applied to other applications that want similar functionality.

This is perfect for medical students and those interested in the body. This app was featured in Apple’s advert — “Learn”.

The Skeletal System Pro II (NOVA Series) is a cutting edge app built on our NOVA technology. It is a completely new app, but in recognition of our loyal customers we are providing this application as a free update to the previous original Skeleton System Pro. Every detail has been re-designed from the photo-realistic 3D model to the quick navigation. There are thousands of changes — including the most in depth 3D skeleton ever developed, the ability to rotate, cut and get superior/inferior views all with the simple stroke of the finger.

The user can rotate, get inferior or superior views, cut (where available) or label an area with a simple stroke of their finger. The user can navigate up and down within the skeleton at absolutely any angle. The user can also use the scalpel button to add or take away layers of connective tissue.

Each label is in English and in Latin and by pressing on the ‘i’ icon the user can access additional information for that part.

Access a different view (anterior, lateral, posterior, medial, inferior or superior) at anytime and in anyplace within the application using the ‘Views’ function.

QUIZ

This is a unique testing function developed from user feedback. The user selects an area to be tested on and then the app randomly zooms into and labels a part that the user must identify from 6 possible multi-choice answers. For incorrect answers, immediate feedback is given.
