Project description
BaaS (Backend as a Service) platform for mobile applications which simplify mobile application development and provide wide range of services. Specific characteristic of the project is deep integration with 3-rd part services and Amazon Cloud Services, aggregating features of those services and providing them through API for customers in different areas of expertise (from medical mobile application to entertainment).
Responsibilities
Server side code development, tight work and communication with mobile development team, quick integration with 3-rd party services and understanding how they works. We learn everyday something new and teach each other, so we are expecting that you share same spirit and values with us, support them and become valuable proactive teammate.
Requirements:
- Ruby (1.9 preferable) Rails 3, RSpec;
- MySQL or any relational database (Postgres, Oracle, MSSQL, etc.);
- Basic knowledge of web client side development (JS, HTML5, CSS);
- Strong OOP understanding;
- Git (or any DVCS).
Preferable skills
Experience with any cloud platform (Heroku, Azure), separate plus would for knowledge of AWS, strong software design knowledge, design patterns, mobile development, scalability optimization, any of agile software development methodologies, ability to support and upgrade extensively grown code base, refactoring, BDD, TDD, integration experience with different APIs (Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, etc.)
QA Lead
Requirements:
- University technical degree or equivalent;
- Strong experience as manual tester;
- Exposure to modern test frameworks – both client and server side;
- Experience across the full development lifecycle;
- Team leader experience – leading small test teams or at least mentoring junior testers;
- Experience in writing and working with the documentation;
- Excellent/Good written and communication skills;
- Perfect problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manual testing of front-end and back-end functionalities with the expansion of the automatic testing framework;
- Regression, sanity, usability and black-box testing performing and planning;
- Defects reporting and tracking;
- Ensure that all changes in the functionalities are adequately tested end-to-end;
- Working closely with product and project managers, developers and analysts to define acceptance test criteria in AGILE.
Desirable skills:
- Test automation, performance and load testing;
- Programming experience;
- Good English skills;
- Ability to work unsupervised.
